The Aztecs

Since visiting the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City, Sho Takahashi has been musing on the Aztec Solution for the problems of commercial football. Apparently, after a ball game, in the Aztec world a kind of pelota, the losing side were sacrificed to the Sun God, their hearts being cut out on the ceremonial altar. This might seem to have advantages over the dismal process of relegation now current. However, Aztec sculpture struck a congenial geometrical chord and Takahashi has been encouraged to move his style in that direction.
